Prayer is one of the most important things we have to practice regularly as Christians. Learning how to pray as Jesus did is essential for us to communicate to God the way we should. However, many of this generation’s Christians are not equipped with the knowledge of how we are supposed to pray.
Prayer
As followers of Christ, who ought to live with intention and purpose, it is necessary for us to learn how to pray well, for our own benefit and for the benefit of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Jesus Christ has shown us examples of how we should pray fervently, boldly, and faithfully to God. In the midst of a wide array of afflictions, He has never failed to pray in the way that God wanted us all to pray.

5 Bible Verses
For us to learn how to pray as Jesus did, here are 5 Bible verses that show how our Savior prayed to God.
Matthew 6:9-13
“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, you will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’”
Philippians 4:3-7
“Rejoice in the Lord always! I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all, for the Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Luke 22:42
“He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, ’Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me: yet not my will, but yours be done.’”
James 1:6
“Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who ‘worry their prayers’ are like wind-whipped waves.”
Ephesians 6:18
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
