American Idol finalist Megan Danielle once again glorified God in her performance singing “Go Rest High On That Mountain.”

When Megan Danielle made it to the Top 20, she boldly performed the Christian song “Holy Water.” Her powerful voice received a standing ovation from the American Idol crowd. It was a prayerful song revealing man’s need for God.

As Megan successfully made it to the Top 12, she sang another worship song onstage. The Christian contender performed Lauren Daigle’s new song “Thank God I Do.” She amazed the judges once again and received a standing ovation.
Top 8 Performance
Now, the 20-year-old has made it into the Top 8 of this year’s American Idol singing another God-glorifying song. She performed Vince Gill’s “Go Rest High On That Mountain” . The song’s lyrics are focus on bringing glory to Jesus.
Megan only sang the first verse and the chorus part. The lyrics go:
“I know your life
On earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren’t afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain
Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin’
Love for the Father and the Son”
A viewer shared that Megan’s performance deeply moved him and brought him to tears. User @singtorres6049 commented on the video, “I cried in the 2nd half of this performance. It’s so moving. She always has that rasp and a country tone that suits this songs quite well.”
Another user, @beckyc1904 testified that God has used Megan’s performances to bring her back to Christian music. She wrote, “This girl has got me tapping back into Christian music. I really needed that.”
