“We have all been there, having the expectancy of love, only to have it fall short of what we were actually expecting. Whether it’s been in romantic relationships, friendships, or even personal relationships (in general), we have all felt it at some point during our lives.” – Revival Worship Movement
Revival is the act of reviving, and to digest something is the process of absorbing it into the body, or information that the mind can absorb. Very simply, it is a digest of their findings. But are we seeking revival, only in the world?
Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
Just as with any other person in your life, communication is essential to strengthening your relationship with God. Understanding His laws, having this relational covenant with Him, helps us to understand Him, to learn His heart, and ultimately, allow Him to lead us. Forgiveness and reconciliation are an important part of what it means to follow Him.
As this world goes through this period or instance of reviving, there seems to be a mutual understanding for this much-needed change. But if we’re not seeking revival in our hearts, how do we plan on changing anything that matters? And if it isn’t a heart-matter, how do we expect to show this love?
Our Daily Prayer
Through regular prayer and study of the Bible, the Holy Spirit helps us to grow in the understanding of God’s plan, and our part in it.
Hebrews 8:10 says, “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
What’s happening today is taking a huge toll on our planet, and all of our lives. With climate control, earthquakes, and other worldly events, our response has not been adequate. We’re in a season of reckoning in this world, and it’s high time that we must all stop and fully pay attention.
What’s happening in the world, can be very troubling; but, we should never consider it a shortage of God’s love. Through this daily prayer, and the reading of His Holy Scripture, He is developing this heart-change (inside of us), and all while His Holy Spirit continues to sway our minds.
Godly Change Is Good
We are living in a stark reality of unbelievable changes taking place in our country (our world). As hate and anger are still trying to take the front seat of many lives, God is calling us to repent, and instead, love one another.
We’ve come to this moment in time, when every voice wants to be heard. My only hope is that as each one begins to speak, we will do so with grace, and for the purposes of this reconciliation and forgiveness.
It is true, we must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, and yes, all in choosing this solidarity. I believe that when we pursue this path of peace, solidarity will follow.
Let us pray that our minds will always be open to this revival, and that our hearts will always be open to His love.
