Are We Living Out Our Purpose, Or Is It Time For Change?

Psalm 57:2 says, “I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me.”

Are We Living Out Our Purpose, Or Is It Time For Change?

In 2016, I made a decision for change and stopped the presses, canceling all book sales of my published books. It was my heart to re-edit, and after much prayer and contemplation, I finally decided to move forward with a relaunch of the book, “The World, As We Know It: What does the world mean to you?”

I have been desperately seeking a remedy for change in our nation, using my platform for writing as a tool to help in implementing this change. It is very much my heart to encourage others, and to collaborate with them, who are also seeking “this change.”

I have written a great deal about inspiration, religion, and the “American way.” What I’ve found to be true in our society today is the opposite of what I had hoped for. We are a society of politics, political correctness, and sadly, financial privilege.

Many are suffering as a result of this pandemic. What I’ve concluded through this series of constitutional changes taking place in our lives, is that our democracy is still very broken. I’ve watched the elite decide for us who is worthy of healthcare, or benefits, or desired outcomes for living, and this newly adopted “American standard.”

Are We Living In A Prejudiced Nation?

The definition of prejudice is an unjustified or incorrect attitude towards an individual, usually based on that individual’s social standing.

Bias is the inclination or prejudice for (or against) one person or group or concept, especially in a way that is considered to be unfair. A biased person typically favors one side of an issue over another.

While bias can just mean having a preference for “one thing over another,” it is also synonymous with prejudice. And as we’ve each witnessed, that prejudice can be taken too far.

Humility Over Hate

When someone is humble, they are focused on God and others, and not themselves. Their focus is a desire to love and glorify God.

In short, a humble person’s goal is to elevate God and to encourage others. They “no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf” (see 2 Corinthians 5:15).

Therefore, humility is learned, and can only be learned, from God, for the time is coming that we’ll need to understand these differences. Because whether it’s bias or prejudice, the Lord is coming to separate them both.

Time For Change

Many are screaming, “Enough is enough!” We have to consider what more we can do, as a nation, to help to ensure this desired outcome for all God’s people.

What I hope to adopt in my own mind, is more than just a desire to see this change… It is time to replant and to grow what it is our nation and the world desires to initiate in this existing society of an increasingly broken world-system. What we’ve created is becoming monstrous, and we need to expeditiously implement this change.

Wake up world! Wake up all people of every nation! We are all looking for change in this world… The question is, “What direction are we willing to go in, to finally get it?”

It is time for some serious change.
