Have you ever been in a situation where the only answer was Jesus?  Watch Brittany’s story as she cried out for her daughter’s life, “Jesus, I need you to help me right now…”

What Does The BIble Say?

Matthew 7:7-8 NIV – “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Jeremiah 33:2-3 NIV – ““This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name: ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ ”

Brittany definitely experienced the reality of this truth that day at the beach when she cried out, “Jesus, I need you to help me.”  Without God who knows what would have happened at the beach that day. It is important, that no matter what we are facing, that we turn to I AM and invite Him in.

Reflect

  • What is your automatic response when something bad happens?
  • Is it easy for you to cry out to Jesus in hard times? Why or why not?
  • Do you feel alone when you’re facing a trial or are you able to receive comfort from Jesus?
  • Is there anyone you need to forgive to grow your trust in Jesus? If so, who?
  • How confident are you standing on the promise in Jeremiah 33:3?
  • What can you do to grow your ability to hear God’s voice?

Testimony: Jesus Is Way Better Than Anything

Jannel Palacio experienced tragedy and loss throughout much of her life. She wanted to know good and searched to find it. She went to church and found Jesus and there she learned that Jesus is “way better than anything!”

What Does The Bible Say?

Psalm 34:8 NIV – “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him”

This verse is an invitation to experience the goodness of God. It’s the same truth that Jannel was seeking as she kept looking for “good”. Think about it, in order to “taste” food you need to pick up food and put it in your mouth. In other words, you need to take action. In order to experience the goodness of God you need to experience Him; you need to take action.

John 10:10 NIV – “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

Here Jesus reveals His purpose in coming…so that you could live an abundant life. You might not know how to step into that, but He can teach you how to live an abundant Kingdom life!

Take some time to reflect on Jannel’s story and the verses above. How can you apply this in. your own life?

  • Have you experienced tragedy in your life? If so, have you processes it with Jesus? Why or why not?
  • When you go through hard times do you turn to Jesus or something else? Why?
  • What are some other Bible verses that come to mind when it comes to the character of Jesus?

Finding Your Tribe Is Key To Healing From Mental Illness

Finding your tribe is another key to healing from mental illness.  Listen to Deborah share her story of using this key to help unlock her healing from mental illness.

What Does The Bible Say?

When God made Adam, even before sin, He looked at Adam and said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him” (Genesis 2:18). Nothing has changed! Read the additional verses below and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you about what Deborah has shared, “who is my tribe?”

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12,

“9 Two are better than one,
    because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
    one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
    and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
    But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
    two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

Acts 2:42-47 NIV – “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

Today’s Message

We are meant to build our lives upon Jesus, the rock of our salvation. Over the course of our life, we encounter various kinds of joys and trials. If we have not firmly built our lives upon the rock of God’s word, we have no solid foundation to support us. God cares about the longevity of our lives! What does it look like to found our lives on the rock? It means not just knowing Him through His word, studying the word, and staying in His word, but putting it into action. Within our lives, we have a multitude of choices. How we choose to behave, react, respond, and engage with ourselves, the Lord, and the world around us is quite literally what builds and, therefore makes, our lives. We bless you, here at the GOD TV team, for a firm foundation upon the rock of ages. In whatever area your foundation has the potential to be transformed from sand to rock, we say yes and amen!

Healing From Mental Illness, Seek And You Shall Find

Healing from mental illness can be a process, but with the Lord all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).  Watch this powerful story from Deborah, as she shares her journey to victory and healing from mental illness.

What Does The Bible Say?

Matthew 7:7-11 NIV – “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!“

There are so many amazing promises in the Word of God. Each promise is something that we can take to the bank because God said it and He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). Notice the verse above doesn’t say, seek and you might find or seek and if you’re good enough you’ll find.  It simply says seek, that’s you’re job, and the promise is that when you do that you will find!

Reflect

Take some time to reflect on what Deborah shared and the promises you’ve been given in Matthew 7. Use the questions below to help you process, journal if you’d like.

Do you regularly seek God’s presence and counsel? Why or why not?

What are some different ways (or methods) of seeking God could you try?

Does you feel like you “find” God when you seek Him? Why or why not?

How can you pray for deeper encounters with God when you spend time seeking Him?

Healing Miracles

The Bible is full of healing miracles and we are commanded to, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). Jesus left the earth so that the Helper, the Holy Spirit, could come and live inside every believer.

Healing miracles are possible because the resurrection power of Jesus living inside of the body of Christ. Romans 6:10-11 reveals that promise, “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.“

  • Do you believe that the Holy Spirit can flow through you and release healing to others? Why or why not?
  • Have you ever prayed for healing? Why or why not?
  • Is there someone in your life that needs healing that you could pray for today?

Prayers for Healing Miracles

If you need a miracle in your body today we pray that the resurrection power of Jesus Christ would touch you right now. We command all sickness, pain, and disease to leave and we release life, peace, and comfort from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Jesus Revolution is the story of the 1970s revival that began with hippies searching for love and peace. The story highlights the journeys of the Greg Laurie, Lonnie Frisbee, and Chuck Smith as they navigate the spiritual awakening that drew thousands to Souther California.

Jesus Revolution debuted Friday February 24th in the wake of the outpouring that began at Asbury and has spread throughout the US and many places across the globe.

Jesus Revolution At The Box Office

As we know, numbers speak and Jesus Revolution came in with more impressive numbers than some were expecting. According to Christian Headlines, “The movie, which tells the true story of a hippie-led revival in the 1960s/70s, grossed an estimated $15.5 million – more than double what Box Office Pro said last week was at the bottom of its projected range ($7-12 million).”

Box Office Pro just release the actual numbers an hour ago with the final opening weekend numbers coming in at $15.80M!!!

Revival Is In the Air

Jesus is doing something in the earth. From college students worshipping for hours on end and the big screen showing testimonies of what God has done before, it seems revival is in the air.

2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV – “If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Let us continue to “seek His face”, turn from our “wicked ways”, and cry out for God to heal our land…wherever you are in the world.  We are in need of what only Jesus can do in our lives!

Multitudes Of Revival Across The Globe Shared On Social Media

A recent social media post displaying the multitudes of revival happening across the globe went viral. Shared last week, Instagram user @_kmarieg_ showed clips all across the United States, Africa, and Israel of groups of believers worshipping, praying, and dancing before the Lord.

Videos from Asbury, Samford, and Lee University showed college students repenting in worship.

“I had goosebumps making this, YALL it’s just getting started! REVIVAL AROUND THE WORLD!” Kayla G wrote in her instagram caption.

“You might not turn on the news to see it, but there’s a big movement happening around the world, in the hearts of God’s people.”

Multitudes of revival occur across the earth

The post gained over 200,000 likes and hundreds of comments of people reporting their own experiences in the last week. One used detailed what happened to her: “In Kenya I attended a 1 week revival meeting last week. And on Friday, more than a thousand people gave their lives to Christ. They couldn’t fit at the altar.”

Continue to pray that the Holy Spirit would touch, convict, comfort, and revitalize God’s people across the earth. God is already moving and we have the priviledge to parter with what He is releasing across the globe today.

“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Revelation 7:9)

‘Holiness Unto The Lord’—A Reminder From Asbury’s Hughes Auditorium

‘Holiness Unto The Lord’ is the phrase written above the organ pipes in Hughes Auditorium at Asbury University. Thousands of pictures have been posted in the last several weeks as non-stop prayer and worship has continued since the morning chapel service on February 8th. One attended, @_kathyjovel_, posted some thoughts from her visit, “This weekend I had the privilege of going to Asbury University. I was impacted of how people were seeking the Lord without “fancy songs,” lights, “celebrities,” and being hype most of the time; it felt genuine pure adoration to the Most High.”

Holiness Unto The Lord

In 1 Peter 1:16 believers are exhorted to “be holy” because the Lord is holy. Believers are called to live set apart lives. We are called to look different from the world, not for the sake of being different, but because the ways of God are contrary to the ways of the world.

Kathy went on to share in her post,  “HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD” this phrase reminded me that we need to be Holy because Jesus it’s Holy. I asked myself: “How am I going to be holy if I am a human and I am not perfect?”

“How does it look to deny ourselves daily?” Sacrificing our desires, earthly dreams, preferences and surrendering EVERYTHING to the Lord.

Matthew 6:33!!!

It was so beautiful to see how many people across the globe is in unison adoration for the Lord. Different languages but same need, different cultures but same hunger, different people but same God!”

What Is Revival?

Revival means to be revived and to be revived insinuates coming back to life in some way. It is definitely apparent from all the social media posts, articles, and news reports that hearts are coming back to life through what started at Asbury college!

Kathy finished her post with these thoughts, “Lastly, revival is not about a place or time. Revival means that our hearts are CONSTANTLY SEEKING THE LORD AND RECOGNIZING WE NEED HIM.

Key words I got: HUMILITY for God’s presence; LOVE for God, myself, and others; supernatural PEACE that surpasses all understanding to trust the process and His timing.”

Let’s continue to live set apart lives as we pursue holiness unto the  Lord!
