“Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.” (Joel 2:21) It has been a trying year for all of us…the world. No matter the challenges now, or even carried over from last year, the tone of the Lord in Joel 2:21 and 23 is saying, “Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things. Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.”
God sends the former rains from October to December to prepare the seedbeds and assist germination. On the contrary, the latter rains came in March-May. These provide ample moisture for the grain and fruit crops to be rich and full. That is, the former rains come to prepare our seeds and our labor in the Lord. In addition, to germinate, even to restore whatever that might be lost. The latter rain comes to moisturize our fruits to be rich and complete. And you only need a little bit of patience. Let not the dry moment distract or discourage you of your expectation of the great things the Lord will do (see Proverbs 23:18).
In this new month, be glad and rejoice in the Lord for what He has done, His doing and will do, and lay every worry at the feet of Jesus.
Source Of Our Strength
We can always derive strength in our low or weak moments. As a result, we trade them for the joy of the Lord, which is our strength. Nehemiah 8:10 says, “Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Furthermore, Isaiah 26:4 says, “Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.” God needs us to trust in Him because He is not only the God of the Bible but the only and true God of the Universe, our God that loves us so dearly even with His life, such that He talked and wrote about us in the same Bible (see Genesis 1:26-28, Romans 5:8, Romans 8:29-31, John 15:13-15, Ephesians 2:4-6, 2 Corinthians 5:17).
Remember what Romans 8:32 says “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”
According to His will, our God is always faithful to carry or see us through, He can, and He will do anything for us, Amen.
