“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” Acts 2:1-4 (NIV)

When Jesus left the world, He sent His Church, consisting of 120 followers, on a global, 2-millennia journey with the gospel. Before making their first connection, Jesus commanded them to go to the Jerusalem “concourse” for their introduction to God’s “People Mover.” This supernatural, advanced transport would carry the Church to her preassigned destinations. Their 10-day wait must have seemed long, considering the condition of the world and the great news they were bearing.

Today, the Holy Spirit is more important to us than ever. We face a world that desperately needs the good news we carry. The Holy Spirit is ready to work through today’s Church in fresh, dramatic ways, bringing world harvest and advancing God’s Kingdom. Excerpt from—Dr. William M. IMPACT PRAYER- My Father, fill me with the Holy Spirit in a fresh way. Help me refuse to be controlled by the things of this world but keep my vision on You. I need Your power in my life. I truly cry out for You. You are my one desire.
