Minister and evangelist Bill Johnson is urging every follower of Christ to get up and shine as the light of this world.
Gold in every person
It is possible that we can see the gold in every person. No matter who he is and how bad this society labels him, there’s still gold in him. And we can see that if we just become like Jesus. Jesus saw the gold in every person He called to follow Him. No matter who we are and no matter how sinful we may be. He saw the goodness in us.
“There’s a value system that truly sees the gold in every individual. It’s a reality of that culture and it is transferable here. It’s actually doable; it’s livable here. You just have to look like Jesus did at Peter when He called him a rock when he lived like a broken reed… We see what’s possible and we use our heart, our affection, our words, our service to draw significance out of people.”
Arise and shine
So arise and shine for this world, be the light for everyone around you.
“Arise and shine for your light has come. Stop waiting for another prophetic word, get up and shine.”
Jesus, the light of the world, is in you. And because He is in you, you also have the capability to be the light that eliminates the darkness.
“When the light of God touches you, He gives you the capacity to shine as light. It doesn’t mean we’re the source of the light. But He is so deeply intertwined with us, living within us that He gives us the capacity by our choice to shine or not shine.”
“Jesus is the light of the world that enlightens every person that comes into the earth. You said ‘yes’ so get up and shine.”
