Paul Manwaring, a cancer survivor, recently shared how to rebuild our spiritual foundation as we come out of the pandemic that has shaken many of our foundations.
In an episode of Standing Together with hosts Fergus Scarfe and Claire Worth, minister Paul Manwaring teaches about building a strong foundation. As people who are standing together, we are all standing on something solid, and that is our foundation. However, when the pandemic broke out, a lot of our foundations have been shaken.
“We’ve seen in this pandemic the shaking of our foundations, we might have questioned some things,” Pail said.
To withstand whatever circumstance we may face, we need to have a strong foundation. That strong foundation is our spiritual foundation in our Lord Jesus Christ. As we face better days ahead of us, let us work on rebuilding our foundation.
“As we come out of this pandemic, we need to check our foundations,” the cancer survivor said. “Let’s just have a quick check of the foundations and then let’s get back to building, to building on the solid rock.”
“We have a transformational faith, we have supernatural faith, we have a lifestyle of faith, and we have Christ our cornerstone, our Savior, and our constant. Let’s build on these four… these are the truths, the absolute foundation of our faith,” he added.
Paul has worked as a psychiatric nurse and a prison minister after he was healed from cancer 13 years ago. Today, he has a word of encouragement to everyone experiencing mental health issues.
“Slow down in the presence of God, in the presence of others, in the presence of this moment, and slow down for you. I believe it will help your mental being.”
