College HUNKS moving company is helping domestic abuse victims leave their abusive and dangerous homes for free!
Domestic Abuse
As domestic abuse has escalated due to lockdowns, victims are in need of help more than ever. A moving company launched in 2005 is being hailed as a heroes for rescuing domestic abuse victims. They are offering free moving services to people in unsafe situations across the United States and Canada.
College HUNKS
Since College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving started, they have been able to rescue over 100 domestic abuse victims. According to Nick Friedman, founder of College HUNKS, they are doing what they’re doing because of their purpose.

“I definitely think our Free Moves for Survivors of Domestic Violence program sheds light on a really important issue that is not often talked about,” Nick said. “As a purpose-driven, socially-conscious organization we’re always looking for ways to positively impact our communities—in this case, particularly for those who feel powerless in unhealthy home situations.”
Rescue
In addition to their commitment to moving domestic abuse victims for free, they have also put in over $150,000 hours worth of moving services to domestic violence shelters in Central and Southern California.
Individuals in need of this service first coordinate with their local domestic violence shelter. The shelter then coordinates with College HUNKS after their application is approved. This practice ensures the safety of the victim and the movers.
Commitment
During COVID-19, the organization has also helped healthcare workers. College HUNKS have provided trucks for transporting COVID-19 testing supplies and other medical equipment. From hospital beds to waters for the medical teams, they have been helping however they can.
God is truly using this moving company to save his people in need. May God bless their works and may they continue to save more lives.
