A dad dropped his 3-year-old son from the second-story window amidst a raging inferno in their apartment building. The toddler is now safe because of hero cops who were able to catch him.
Raging Inferno In Apartment Building
In South Brunswick, New Jersey, last Monday, an inferno engulfed an apartment that threatened the life of tenants. Among them are Hamat Zaghloun and his 3-year-old son.
The father and the toddler apparently were trapped. They had no way out but from the window. Hence, when the emergency responders arrived, they immediately assembled beneath the window of the building to catch the toddler. Then Hamat dropped his 3-year-old son from the window as the inferno continued raging.
According to WPIX-TV, the little boy’s father also leaped headfirst after saving his son first.
“You see a child, it just cranks up the adrenaline,” Sgt. John Penney of South Brunswick Police told CBS News. “The situation was deteriorating quite quickly. The smoke was pouring out above him. I can still envision that.”

The boy and his dad suffered only minor injuries following the dreading fire incident. Thank God both of them are now safe and sound.
But in an interview with ABC News, the father revealed the harrowing moment when he dropped his son out of the window. He said it was a very tough decision to make, but he had no choice.
“I can’t go outside into the hall to get any help or get outside,” he recalled. “I saw the window, and I opened it. And first, I take care of my son. After going over to the window, the police officer he called the people, and he helped me.”
“There was no other way out,” Hamat further remarked.
Further, firefighters believe that the positive outcome of the terrifying ordeal “was a miracle.”
Thank You, God, for saving the life of the father and his 3-year-old son!
