The word of God is the very DNA of who God is. It’s the blueprint to who we are as His sons and daughters and what our inheritance is. Don’t rely on yesterday’s manna to feed you today! Yesterday’s revelation may be able to help you for a moment, but you need fresh daily scripture revelation to fight the battles that come at you today. God knows the perfect word you need to hear for every moment and season. He knows the challenges that will come, the victories, and wants to prepare you for the day with the daily scripture he directs you to.
Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” The battlefield of life starts in our mind and we need to know the truth and daily scripture as believers to help extinguish every flaming arrow of the evil one (Ephesians 6:15). Without following God’s voice, we are not truly living in what He designed us to live in. God is a joyful, loving, and merciful father. Daily scripture will begin to change your perspective in every area of your life and make you set the right priorities. Philippians tells us to set our minds on things that are lovely, pure, and admirable. Without the renewal of God’s word over us, we have no road map to do so. Oftentimes when we are overwhelmed and stressed, it’s easy to get into the day with all of our do lists and race against the clock. If we take a step back and take time to spend with the Lord, it will drastically change the way we view and go about our day. Making time to renew your mind with daily scripture will give you the fuel you need to face any attack that comes your way. It will give you the ability to recognize God’s voice over any other.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)
