You need a vision without fear.
“Where there is no vision, people perish: but he that doeth the law, happy is he.” (Proverbs 29:18)
Your vision is not just for you.
This verse of the Bible is one of my favorites, I’ve used it several times in conversation, leading groups and preached about it, but what I love about the Bible is that I can read it over and over again and always find new things. When I was thinking of this verse, I felt the Holy Spirit focus on that part that says ‘people’ and I realized that it does not say where there is no vision, you perish, no, it says where there is no vision, PEOPLE perish. See, if you do not pursue your vision is not only you who perishes, other people perish too.
Think about it, if the people who invented life-saving cures or those who built hospitals never stuck to their vision, people would literally die.
Or if evangelists, missionaries, pastors, etc. gave up on their vision of how many people might not hear the Gospel and perish?
For me, this was a difficult truth as I was about to give up the ministry and I realized that not following my vision is selfish, because if I give up how many people won’t be reached. How many others won’t be inspired to overcome suicidal thoughts? And how many people wouldn’t hear about Jesus?
How many people would give up on life, just because I never helped them find hope, because I let fear, distractions, money, and people’s opinions get in the way? Your vision of God is greater than you, and because of other people, you need to go after it!
I know if my friend Dani never made the world race, which is a missionary organization where you go around the world – 10 countries in 10 months, it there would be many people who would lose out on being blessed by her . How many people will lose out on their lives being transformed, because you have never followed your vision?
They say we influence at least 10,000 people in our life span. My question to you is: Do you think that the 10,000 you influence will be affected for good as you fulfil your vision, or not?
What is your vision? Do not give up! Do not be afraid. Give it all you’ve got! God does not want to see a single person perish.
