Disney star Joshua Bassett has publicly declared his faith in Jesus and tells everyone that He “is the only way.”

Joshua is best known for his role as “Ricky” in Disney’s High School Musical: The Musical The Series.” He played alongside Olivia Rodrigo, who was his onscreen partner.
But he stirred up his fans with his recent post on Twitter. On January 6th, the singer and actor declared, “Jesus is the only way. His death and resurrection are historically documented.”
The 22-year-old even invited his followers to “come home to Him.” “Turn away form (sic) hate, seek forgiveness, and come home to Him.”
His tweet has gained over 10 million views and has received different feedback. Some tried to question him and even wondered if his account was hacked, because it would not be something he would say. But fellow Christians stood up for Joshua and encouraged him in his Christian walk.
“My faith is certain”
According to journalist Caleb Parke, the “Different” singer shared more of his experiences and encounters with Jesus in his Instagram story.
“Tonight, at church, I prayed to God,” Joshua wrote. “So I will know for certain that you are Jesus, and He is the only way, please send someone to touch my back, and I will shout it from the rooftops. Moments later, two people came up behind me, saying that God put in on their heart to put their hands on me and pray.”
He added, “His love is great, and my faith is certain. Praise be to God forever and ever in Jesus name.” Then, he also posted another experience with God. It appeared that he asked God for a sign a few months back. “Send me a sign when I write the truth,” he shared. “I typed, ‘Jesus is the way,’ [and] nothing happened. Then I added, ‘Jesus is the *only* way,’ and the light turned on in my living room.”
Moreover, Joshua had more encounters with Jesus which were “richer and more vivid than anything in my life.” But he will reveal it soon.
Although many were concerned about Joshua’s newfound faith, he assured them that he is better than he had ever been. “The peace I feel is far beyond what I thought possible,” he said.
