For we walk by Faith, and not by Sight.
The famous, well-known scripture in 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” I love comparing this verse to one of my favorite movies, A Walk To Remember. “Love is like the wind, you can’t see it, but you can feel it.” I love applying this to what having a relationship with Jesus is like.
Having faith means trusting in something that we can’t quite see. We know this because of God’s word in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” So, we pray in faith that what we pray for is in the hands of who we can’t see, Jesus Christ. Furthermore, trusting God is a very profound concept, and I love to see it as God’s language between Him and His children. Jesus died on the cross in hopes that we would come to know His name. That’s the ultimate example of “things Hoped for”.

Faith in God
Additionally, being challenged by life is very real and can result in relying on things un unattainable. That lifestyle can become exhausting. Faith in God is trusting that all things will work for our good because of who He is. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. ” Trusting God sometimes will cost you something.
Acknowledge Him In All Ways
Finally, whether it’s your own understanding, finances, family reconciliation, relationships, etc. The acknowledgment that God is greater and bigger than whatever circumstance in your life, is what trusting in Him means. He is Alpha and Omega, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Trusting in the name of Jesus is trusting that what He did on the cross for you was enough.
