How to keep yourself from falling out of the Christian faith.
Doug Batchelor reminds everyone that we may fall out of our Christian faith if we keep on living on the edge. Just like how a sheep is safer in the middle of the flock than in the outside of the flock, we are also safer when we are in the middle of the church. We may fall out of our faith if we keep on having a foot inside the church and a foot in the world.
“I’m talking about those who in their lives, they sort of go to church once a week. They want to stay connected, but they’re living on the edge and they kind of have one foot in the church and they’ve got one foot in the world. So, if you want to be safe, you want to be right in the middle of the flock.”
Middle Of The Flock
Being in the middle of the church means being involved in it. Don’t be just a churchgoer, get involved in the ministry. That is one of the ways we can keep ourselves from falling out of the Christian faith.
“Get involved, get in the middle of it, get in the thick of it, you’re a lot more, you’re a lot safer. You’re more inclined to survive as a Christian if you stay involved in a church.”
The devil fell because of pride. He fell because his pride wanted him to exalt himself. If you don’t want to fall out of faith, stay away from pride. Humble yourselves before the Lord.
“One of the ways that people fall is you can fall through pride. This is how the devil fell.”
