Over the years, I have discovered something about fear in my life. It always shows me where I could experience deeper freedom. Do you relate? The enemy wants you to believe that your purpose stops at the places you are scared to go. He tries to cloud our vision with fear, preventing us to see what’s on the other side. In reality, your divine purpose transcends fear.
Fear is saying many things
“You are worthless, you don’t have what it takes, and you will never overcome this.” Fear pretends to be intimidating, maybe even overwhelming, but the truth is that it’s only as powerful as we allow it to be in our lives. When we walk in our God given identity, as co-heirs with Christ, we
“Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” (Romans 8:17)

But God
God is inviting you to come and experience His goodness! He isn’t phased by your fears, He knows the end of the story. Doing the things that scare us looks different for every person. Maybe you’re hesitating to start a business, ask someone out, or approach your boss about a raise. Maybe you’re afraid to evangelize to strangers, have a vulnerable conversation with your family members, or try a new hobby. When we allow what the voice of fear is saying to dictate our life, we’ve given up the ability to be led by the spirit of God.
Do it afraid
I want to encourage you: do it afraid. Do it aware that you might mess up, it won’t be perfect, and it may take time for you to feel confident. Jesus loves to be with us exactly where we are at. If fear is speaking in your life, choose to do what you are called to anyway. Don’t let it have the final say.
