FedEx employee, Amanda Riggan was delivering a package when she heard the leading of the Holy Spirit to do something unexpected.
Amanda had to deliver packages to 100 clients that day; one of those was to a woman with a husband battling against cancer. While delivering the package, she chatted with the lady and heard about her ill husband. However, she tried to change the topic after she felt awkward.
However, the Lord was telling her to do something else. He wanted to bless the lady and her husband through Amanda.
“I drove off. My heart was pounding. I’ll have to do probably 20 more stops, then I have to go back,” said Amanda.
She rushed to deliver the rest of the boxes… “Then, I stopped what I was doing, I went back to the neighborhood and ring her doorbell,” Amanda stated in her testimony.
“Ma’am, can I pray for you?”
“I said ‘Ma’am can I pray for you?’ and she broke down. She came out of the front porch and squeezed me so tight,” Amanda added.
Christians are called to be God’s vessels and a light unto the world. Therefore, there are many times when we are being called by God to step out to be His instruments. But how frequent are we willing to be used by God? Most importantly, can we put aside your busy schedules to glorify Him?
“A lot of people want the Lord to use them, and for me as an example, I pray every day for the Lord to use me,” Amanda continued. “But when He’s trying to use you or when you feel that call and that tug on your heartstrings, do you move your feet? Do you move?”
Amanda’s testimony clearly shows what God wants to do with our lives. Let’s live to be a vessel of God’s love for all the people.
