Former pop star Mark Saunders shares his journey to faith and finding Jesus Christ after living his “wild life” as a musician.

Mark was attending a church until his mid-teenage years. He labeled himself as a Christian during those years but he later realized that he wasn’t really a follower of Jesus Christ.
“I wasn’t in a true relationship with Jesus, it was just religion,” Mar recalled.
At the age of 16, he decided to quit going to church and live a “wild life.” He became a musician and then became addicted to alcohol and drugs. Soon, his pop band started to make records and became famous in Germany.
“You would have thought that would have made me happy right? But you’d be wrong. I started to feel incredibly unhappy,” He revealed.
Dream of being a pop star
When he was 27, everything fell apart including his band and his fame. It was at that moment when Mark started to search for his real purpose.
“Suddenly I found myself thinking what am I going to do with the rest of my life? What am I here for? What’s this all about? Why am I here,” he questioned. “It was at that point in my life, I was still drinking heavily, that I knew that I had to find some kind of purpose.”
Mark looked for answers in different religions and different areas but all these failed. Until he attended a church service again after almost a decade. At that moment, he felt Jesus Christ and he realized that it was Him who he has been searching for all these years.
“I felt in my heart that it was Jesus that I’ve been looking for all this time,” he recalled. “This Jesus that I thought I was in a relationship with as a child. I recognized and started to see Him in a different way.”
Jesus is the answer
Today, Mark is now an evangelist who aims to preach the good news to everyone. He is using his testimony and journey to finding Jesus Christ to lead people to Him.
“No matter what you’ve done in your life, nothing can keep you from the love of God. Nothing can keep you from forgiveness and a relationship with almighty God through believing in Jesus apart from refusing to believe in Jesus.”
