In a powerful live on GOD TV by Francis Chan, he shared three things we all need to remember amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. And you need to hear this today!
Overcome Fear With Faith Amidst The Pandemic
Francis Chan is the founder of We Are Church. And amidst the challenge the world is facing today because of the coronavirus pandemic, he urges believers to overcome fear with faith and panic with prayer. He also points out three things God had put on his heart to share to the church that we should never forget during these trying times.
The first point that Francis shared is to “stay loving.”
“During this time, it’s crazy. It’s so easy for us to lose what we’re supposed to be all about. Which is to be these people who are loving, that are concerned that hundreds of people every day are dying. And many headed to eternity apart from Christ,” the pastor stressed.
Francis also warned against getting sidetracked by other things. He urges believers to do something out of love for God and be looking unto others in love to serve others in this challenging season. Because what is happening in the world right now is giving us an opportunity for others to know Christ.
Secondly, Francis points out, “Don’t lose your joy.” The Bible commands us to “rejoice in the Lord always.” Though it may be a weird time where we can’t gather together as a big church, don’t stop rejoicing. This time is not a reason for us to lose our joy but to get even deeper in the presence of God.
“You can be alone in your room, even if you’re isolated and be in the presence of Almighty God. You and Him in a room together alone with the Creator of the Universe. We have to rejoice in that always!” he pointed out.
Peace Amidst Pandemic Time
Third and final point, he urged, “Don’t lose your peace.”
“We are people that are supposed to be fearless. The most repeated command in the Scripture is ‘Fear Not,’” Francis added.
