Game Changer! Get Off The Bench! Lose The Fanfare!

"The fanfare does not manufacture salvation. This is a false theology that inherits nothing good and deprives the optimal Christian experience!"

Game Changer! Get Off The Bench! Lose The Fanfare!

Game Changer! Get off the bench! Lose the fanfare! Like any platonic relationship, you become acquainted with the other party. You may know of them in the sense of who they are by their words, actions, and values. However, to truly know someone you need to invest time and energy. All of humanity know of GOD, but many do not acknowledge HIM nor live in the manner HE expects from us. Others have a false perception that they love GOD simple by namedropping, attending church, and adorning an apparatus that reflects their purported Christian faith.

When you invest in an intimate relationship with GOD, you are more than aware of the expectations of living right and manufacturing a firm desire to please HIM. HIS grace should radiate within your vocation to your personal life and have no barriers in all avenues in your life. The degree of your walk with GOD will manifest in your words, thoughts, and conduct. Walk with HIM, and things begin to take shape!

No Fulfillment With Multiple Partners

I have even seen practitioners of the occult, mysticism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and other religious observers wearing crosses and crucifixes as paraphernalia, an ornate piece of jewelry. Perhaps, it is worn to fend off persecution from their friends, family, or communities. Perhaps, they are searching for a theology that will suit their personal preferences and accept their value system as they wonder in life seeking sanctuary. Only the possessor can reveal the reasons. They fail to understand that this is a polytheistic theology. By incorporating GOD within other practices does not make you a Christian.

They fail to understand that GOD does not seek a part-time lover of HIS works and grace. Like any employer or any relationship, GOD wants all of you. “Yet for us, there is One GOD, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” (1 Corinthians 8:6)

Lacking Substance While Dating

Modernism has a misconception of what a relationship with GOD is. It formulates a world view and promotes experimentation of many impious practices. Many wear Christian affiliated items but lack the substance of experiencing an intimate relationship with GOD. It is like eating a steak with no seasoning, may seem juicy at the time. It may look good at a glance, but it is incredibly bland once it reaches your tongue. I call them spiritual daters; they are dating on a concept that they are Christian and know GOD, yet they are not in communion with Him. Avoid playing that game! Do not let anyone stop you from becoming a “Game Changer!”

There is no divine or intimate relationship with GOD in any form. They are just in love with the thought of being Christian without the responsibilities of being one—a true definition of casual dating. Everyone loves the resurrection but not the sacrifice. You must embed in mind that it was HIS sacrifice that resurrected our spiritual deaths. HIS blood atoned for our sins and brought us back into communion with the Father. “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?’” (John 11:25-26)

Missed Opportunities For Growth

These self-proclaimed Christians have diluted HIS beatitudes and are blind to the intelligent divine design HE created. I have witnessed their conduct and the manner they speak. This conduct is acceptable for a new creation- just as babies learn how to walk, the new believer needs to learn to walk with HIM. Such as any relationship, there is a process, and transformation is not a cookie-cutting process. Some need to invest more time in transformation than others, which is contingent on their situation. However, as a Christian, there needs to progress, even if it is incremental. No one ever said the road was going to be easy going. “Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.” (1 Timothy 4:15)

Becoming A Game Changer

I may wear a New York Yankees jersey and cheer on the team as they play for the world series. Yet, at the end of the day, I’m not on the team. I’m not on the field playing to win the championship. I’m just a fan of a bench cheering on the sidelines and avoid the perception of a Christian who lacks a committed relationship with GOD. The question is, are you ready to get off the bench and get in the game?

There are Christians that prefer to wear a cross based on the belief that Jesus is risen and not on the cross any longer for HE has ascended. Others prefer to wear a crucifix because it reflects the pain and sacrifice that granted us salvation and the gateway to eternal life. Feel free to wear whatever you wish, wear none at all if it pleases you. In the end, your faith is within the altar of your heart. Your tongue will reveal what is within your soul.
