“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7 KJV
When you set your heart to reverence and trust God, you’ll establish your house on good ground – His Ground. The soil of your heart is directly linked to who or what you choose to honor. When you are led by the cares, entanglements and lusts of this world, you’re contaminating the ground of your heart and home with poisons that’ll pollute your family’s harvest. When you choose to worship, prioritize and honor God, you’ll lead your family on the right path – God’s path. Your family’s Destiny is directly linked to your obedience. You are the foundation layer. Your submission to God undergirds your family’s spiritual well-being. It’s your choice to diligently seek and honor God.
Spiritual Diligence Develops Character and Maturity.
“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” Proverbs 10:4 KJV
When you deliberately focus on pleasing God, you don’t have to worry about the opinions of people. When you diligently surrender your heart and ways to God, He’ll direct your path. God wants your heart and He wants to lead your house, but it takes discipline to be steadfast and focus on serving and honoring God in every part of your life – both in private and public. Your private time spent with God is critical to your success as a leader in the home and in the community. As a husband and father, your spiritual maturity, growth and development is a key component to your marital and familial success. When you diligently focus on serving God, building character and spiritual discipline; your family will emulate the course that you have set and established. You are the head and God holds you accountable for your stagnation. The hand of the diligent ensures that processes are in place to progress and the discipline around those processes are enforced and adhered to. Your discipline is crucial to your family’s consistent growth and success.
Your Thought Life Matters. Choose To Meditate And Not Complain.
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8 KJV
Choose to meditate on God’s Word over worrying on how to solve the problem. God’s Word states, that He will not put more on us than we can bear, handle, carry or load (1 Corinthians 10:13). Good success comes from God. It is our submission and obedience to His Word that directs our course and orders our steps. We have a choice to either meditate on what God’s Word Promises or complain about the situation at hand. When we hide the Word in our heart and surrender to Him, God will lead our course and make a way of escape and provision. God will create a way when there is no way in sight. Trust God. “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19 KJV
Delight In The Lord.
“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalms 1:2 KJV
When you honor God, you’re deliberately choosing to delight in His Word in all seasons – in all circumstances. Your delight is directly linked to your success. When you continually honor God in every season you’re choosing to love His principles and precepts. Your submission and meditation even in chaos will navigate your life’s course – “O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.” Psalms 119:97 KJV Your meditation, upon God’s Word, is the root to your spiritual stability in every season. Surround yourself with the Word, both day and night. Let your consistent focus be shifted towards His Love, His Word and Commandments. As you allow the Word to lead your heart your house becomes planted, rooted and established in Him.
A Home Rooted By God’s Word Will Spring Forth Fruit – In Due Season.
“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:3 KJV
When you are connected to God’s Word and honor Him with your life, time, talent, gifts and resources you will not wither, but prosper in everything that you set your hands to do. With God, you will flourish. When God leads your home, He will cause His Fruit to flourish within the borders of your home. If you find that you’re withering in an area, check your relationship, submission and connection to God’s Word. Your fruit will spring forth in due season, the season that God permits you to produce fruit and harvest. Every season of your life has purpose. Your expansion and enlargement is directly linked to your submission and surrenderance. When you are planted, in His Word, you’re establishing your home and setting yourself up to flourish in God’s timing and in His cycle. Every season has a shift and purpose. Submit to God and He’ll lead your path. “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
