Beloved, God is near to you. No matter what you have done, where you have strayed, or what your life looks like today, God is near! The book of Psalms is an excellent place to go when remembering God’s closeness. Reading the Psalmist’s words reminds of us just how connected God is to our humanity.

God is our Refuge

“But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.” (Psalm 73:28)

God Keeps us Steady

“I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. “(Psalm 16:8)

God is our Savior

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.“(Psalm 145:18-19)

God is Near

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. “(Psalm 34:18)

The wonderful gift of God’s accessibility to us does not stop with Him; we get to respond and commune deeply with Him. I pray that as you read this scripture the reality of the Father’s closeness to you come alive! Lord, let this reader experience the height, length, and depth of your love as their spirit sets your nearness before any other thing.
