God’s Generous Gifts Come Right on Time

When my husband and I were newly married, he drove a car that we knew was in it’s last days. His commute was far and he needed reliable transportation. We weren’t sure what we were going to do with the car, but continued driving it until God showed us otherwise.

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8)

One Saturday afternoon, my husband emerged from our bedroom where he was napping. Holding his phone up, he showed me a message from an old family friend. A woman had messaged him saying she felt led from the Lord to gift us a vehicle, and she wanted to drive 2 hours to us that night to drop it off to us. She even insisted to pay the fee to transfer the title to our name! We couldn’t believe the goodness of God’s timing.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

Where Can You Be Generous?

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” (2 Corinthians 9:6)

If you are looking to increase your faith in God’s provision in your life, choose one place you can be generous in your giving. Is it paying for your co-worker’s lunch? Maybe it’s something more extravagant. You will never regret generosity in your own life. In it, you will encounter God’s generous gifts.
