Today’s Verse:
“Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will catch men.” Luke 5:10
Today’s Message:
In Luke 5, we read the first time Jesus called his disciples, specifically Peter, towards their destiny.
The dramatic encounter of Peter to who Jesus is was truly wonderful. He got to know Jesus during a miracle of the great catch of fish.

But, when Peter knew of Jesus as Lord, he was so caught up with his identity that he told Jesus to go away from him. In verse 8, “Go away from me, because I’m a sinful man, Lord.”
But Jesus doesn’t look at who we were but to who we will when we are in Him. So, instead of granting Peter’s request, Jesus called him to who he really is, “fisher of man.”
When we are in Jesus, He will lead us towards our true identity and rids us off from our former selves.
