“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
When God commissioned Joshua to conquer the promised land, He reminded him, again and again, to be brave and courageous. In fact, God told Joshua to be courageous three times. And in the Hebrew culture and writing, repetition of words is used to emphasize their message.
It only proves that God recognizes our fears and worries. He sees them as valid, and he doesn’t belittle them. Instead, he lifts us and encourages us with His promises so that we will stand up and rise from our concerns.
Today, whatever concerns you, tell them to God and do not hide away from Him. Allow Him to tell you what to believe in and stand on His promises—experience God’s loving kindness right now.
