Today’s Verse:
Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God but merely human concerns.” Matthew 16:23
Today’s Message:
When Jesus revealed the things about to happen to Him to His disciples, Peter immediately canceled Jesus’ prophecies. Peter had good intentions for his action, but unknowingly, his good intentions did not align with God’s will.
That’s why Jesus rebuked His disciple and pointed out what he did wrong.
No matter how well our intentions are, no matter how good our motives are, if it is not aligned with the will of God, they will never glorify God.
So, let us check ourselves if there are things in our lives that we thought were good because it glorifies God. But, unknowingly, it is not what the Lord wants us to do.
Today, connect with the Holy Spirit and allow Him to purify us so that we will know what is in His heart. Shalom!
