Today’s Verse:
“So Jesus told them plainly, ‘Lazarus is dead; but for your sake, I am glad that I was not with him, so you will believe. Let us go to him.” John 11:14-15
Today’s Message:
Jesus turned the death of his dear friend an opportunity to showcase the glory of God.
When Jesus came to Lazarus’ tomb, he uttered a prayer. It could be expected that the content of his prayer would be declaring life to Lazarus’ body or giving comfort to the grieved loved ones, Mary and Martha. But, this was not Jesus’ prayer.

Instead, he prayed, “Father, I thank you that You have heard me. I knew that You always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, so that they may believe that You sent Me.” (John 11:41-42)
Jesus’ desired that his difficult time will be an opportunity for everyone to know God.
May we be like Jesus, too. That during our most difficult circumstances, it will become occasions for God to be glorified and known.
