Today’s Verse: 

“For to us, a child is born,
    to us, a son is given,
    and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

Today’s Message: 

Today, the unimaginable happened 2,020 years ago. The Lord, the Mighty God, embraced the form of a human baby to save His people.

Although prophets have been telling about His arrival, no one saw His coming, for He came in the most humble way. The people had no idea that the greatest story of history started that day. But the angels knew, and they couldn’t help but shout and sang for joy.

Ever since God wanted to dwell with His people. He walked in the cool of the day with Adam and Eve, guided Israelites by the pillar of fire and cloud, and resided His glory in the ark of the covenant at the temple. When Jesus came, He fulfilled His greatest desire and dwelt among men.

He taught justice through loving the neighbors, modeled leadership through serving, and introduced a new relationship with God as our Father.

Most of all, Jesus finished what He came to do: to die for the sins of humanity. He bore the weight of our infirmities, shame, sin, and death so that we can once again experience abundant life, and that is through enjoying His Presence.

He resurrected to prove that the power of death no longer has a hold on those who believe in Him. Through Him and in Him, we have joy, peace, life, love, wholeness, freedom.

And today, may we never forget the true Reason for the season, Jesus.
