“I want to know Christ–yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.” Philippians 3:10
Paul, the apostle of Jesus, was in prison at the time he was writing his letter to the Philippians. He was already serving for the church for more than 10 years. And during his time in the ministry, he has experienced signs and wonders, extraordinary healings, miracles, supernatural provisions and rescue. But, after all of his encounters, he still declared in Philippians 3:10, “I want to know Christ.”
Surely, after all his experiences, we can say that Paul already knew Jesus. But, this was not the case. The apostle still has a desire to know Jesus, signifying that we can never get enough of our Lord and Savior. Knowing Him is endless and we can never settle with the level of knowledge we have of Him today. Because, there is still more.
So, if you are feeling a little dry of your pursuit in Jesus, if you are feeling a bit familiar of Him, ask God to renew your heart and senses. Allow Him to refresh your love for Jesus as He is our First Love. There is more in Him!
