“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” Psalm 94:19
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
We have to admit that we are control freaks. We tend to control the things around us and take hold of our situation. That is why, when things go out of control, we get frustrated, and we may lose our focus on the things that really matter.
In our obsession, we find ourselves trying to control God. We ask Him to respond to our prayers in ways that we wanted. We want Him to give us what we ask in the exact way that we expected. But, God cannot be tamed.
God can’t be contained in our boxes and expectations. He is more. He is like the wind “where it blows where it wishes, and we hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going” (John 3:8).
God is unpredictable. We cannot predict in what way or form He moves, but He does move. And when He moves, miracles happen.
So, today, stop trying to control the moving of God. And allow yourself to see Him breeze through your situation. Shalom.
