“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” 2 Corinthians 3:14
The Greeks loved beauty. And they used the word “grace” to describe its splendor.
Their appreciation for refinement is evident in their sculptures, buildings, and paintings. And as much as possible, they want to portray “grace.”
Grace in Jesus is His beauty and wonder. It is the magnificence we capture in nature. It is the brilliance we see in human beings.
When Paul preached the grace of Jesus to the Corinthians, he meant that they would represent the image of Christ through and through.
This encouragement is not only for the Corinthians but for all Christ-followers. May Jesus’ grace – His beauty, glory, worth, and loveliness, be upon us as we continue to represent Him, reflecting His nature and heart, attracting others to Him and His salvation. Shalom!
