Today’s Verses:
“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is Mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord. On the contrary: ‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.’ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:19-21
Today’s Message:
Today, God wants you to know that it is not your position to revenge. He has called us to love our neighbors, including our enemies.
Jesus made this clear during his sermon on the mount in Matthew 5. He said in verse 44, “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.”

He laid down the difference between a child of God and not. Verse 46 says, “If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?”
As God’s children, we are made holy upon receiving Christ. And holiness means being set apart. We are no longer part of the world and its customs. We now belong to God.
Furthermore, when we seek revenge, we replace God in His place of judgment. But only God can judge us.
Allow God to move in your midst and see the salvation and justice He brings. It will be more than what you imagine it to be. After all, His justice is love.
