Today’s Verse:
Now the people complained about their hardships in the hearing of the Lord, and when he heard them his anger was aroused. Then fire from the Lord burned among them and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp. (Numbers 11:1)
Today’s Message:
The people of ancient Israel were full of complaining. When their expectations were not met, they would voice out their discontentment, and their constant grumbling displeased God. They showed a lack of trust to the One who delivered them from slavery.
But, complaining and grumbling are still evident even in our lives today. We are quick to notice disappointments and displeasures. Sometimes, we include others with our discontent, urging them to feel the same way.

But, here’s a thought. Have we prayed about it as much as you complained about it? Do we lay it down to God as much as we tell others about it? And if we do not see the change in our situation as we prayed, then maybe what God really wants to change is how our hearts respond to these situations.
Let us model Christ’s patience and love as we are His followers. Shalom!
