“There was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year. And David sought the face of the Lord.” 2 Samuel 21:1
May David’s attitude be our example during this long-time pandemic. Even amid the crisis, we will still seek the face of the Lord.
It has been more than a year since the pandemic happened. No one expected this. Rich people can no longer hide in the power of their wealth and influence since everyone is affected.
Businesses were shut down; social gatherings were forbidden, visiting family members was no longer encouraged. We were forced to stay in our houses and what we used to do was no longer our routine.
News about the death of our friends and colleagues who were infected by the virus devastated us.
But, this is not the time to lose hope. Instead, this is the time to hold more onto hope, to seek more the One who has our hope. For hope never fails, and God is our hope – the light in the darkness.
