Today’s Verse:

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17

Today’s Message:

Most people believe that sickness comes from God, thinking it is a form of a trial from God.

But, God cannot give something bad when He is only good. He cannot provide something apart from His nature.

And because God is good, He only gives good gifts. Thereby, sickness will never come from God.

In Job’s case, his boils did not come from God. It was the devil who afflicted it to him.

So, what does God do? He introduces Himself as the “Jehovah Rapha” or God, the Healer (Exodus 15:26). It is in His heart to heal and not to inflict. He restores and does not oppress. He revives and does not bring death.

So, embrace God as your healer, not the One who gives sickness. Shalom!
