“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” (James 1:2-4)
Today’s Message
In the Lord’s presence, we get to experience the fullness of joy. This means that whether we are living out the deepest dreams and desires of our hearts, or merely staying faithful in our mundane moments, we can have joy! What does joy mean to you? God’s word teaches us that it’s beyond fleeting moments of happiness. It is abiding satisfaction in the one who created us. Because we forever are in God’s presence–because of Holy Spirit inside of us–we have access to joy in all times. In fact, we can trust that God continually fills us with His joy so that our mundane moments of life possess heavenly purpose. So whether you are sitting in traffic, doing dishes, or working a job you hate, you have a choice. Choose to tap into the joy God offers you even in these things. From this place, your spirit will be at rest, teaching your soul to be truly satisfied in the one who created you.
