God’s Word For You Today: Value Others Above Yourselves

Today’s Verse:

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Philippians 2:3-4

Today’s Message:

Today, God wants you to look out for the interest of others, not only for yourself.

Approach people with the same heart as Jesus. Do not condone. Do not look down on them. Rather, honor people as who they are.

When you are put in a situation where you want to hoard rather than give, give more. When you are put in a situation where it is convenient to put yourself first, do the opposite: put others first.

By doing so, you put to death the spirit behind greediness and selfishness. And you practice more the character of Jesus, which is humility in serving. That is our goal, after all, to become more like Jesus every day.
