Transformation
Christy Wimber shares a powerful message about transformation by highlighting that transformation is hidden. It’s the things that happen beneath one’s surface that can truly transform us. Transformation happens from within.
“It’s the roots, those things that are hidden, that actually have the power to decay, destroy or develop us. That’s what transformation is, the things that are hidden.”
Transformation is learning to embrace the identity that Christ has for you. Walking just as how Christ created you to be, a Christ-like creation.
“Transformation is a lifestyle. It’s learning to embrace our identity in Christ, to walk in this new creation. We’re made in the image of God, we’re not made in gender, we’re made in the very image of God and to learn to walk in that, to be clothed in that.”
Growth Is A Choice
Change can happen always, but growth only happens when we choose to go on that journey.
“Nothing can be made new without transformation, without this change. So that’s why it’s a journey; that’s why it’s ongoing. Change is a given but growth is a choice… You’re going to have lots of change in your life, but it doesn’t mean we’re growing up.”
We need to make the decision to grow. It would require a sacrifice and a price but there are greater things ahead for us after that process.
“The things that are of value are the things that have a cost attached to it, it’s the sacrifice wrapped around it. There are no quick fixes, we live in a fast culture, we want quick everything, but there’s no such thing as a quick fix.”
