In my first post on GODTV.com I spoke about having evening prayers with my dad, kneeling at my bedside. This time I want to share on God’s Heavenly Language and how it has transformed my life from a young age.
It all stemmed from learning the Lord’s Prayer. (Matthew 6:9-13) This taught me the importance of relying on God as my Heavenly Father and trusting Him to answer my prayers.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
Your Kingdom come. Your will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the Kingdom,
and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
For a 4-year-old, it was amazing for me to find out that not only did I have a dad on this earth, but I also had a Dad in Heaven. He is our Abba Father, our Dad who really loves us, who is ever watchful over us.
As a girl, I started to thank God for being my Heavenly Dad. Then, one evening my father, who was praying with me, started speaking in tongues. I thought this language was a little strange, but he told me that God had given him a language from Heaven.
God’s Heavenly Language
Well the next day as I was walking home from school and having one of my chats with God and I told God that if daddy could get this Heavenly Language, I wanted it too. And, I immediately started speaking in tongues!
That evening, when we were having our prayer time again, I started not only praying but speaking in tongues. My dad looked at me and asked, “Are you making this up?”
“No, I am not,” I replied! Well, my mother hadn’t started speaking in tongues at that stage, so she was amazed.
I asked God and He did it. He gave me His Heavenly Language. And the good news is that, if He hasn’t already done so, Jesus will baptise you in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, if you just ask Him, with a simple childlike faith.
You may think this is extraordinary that a child would be baptised in the Holy Spirit, but these scriptures show how important it is to eagerly receive all God has for us, just as you would receive a gift from an earthly parent and we can do this at any age.
- “And said to Him, ‘Do You hear what these are saying?’ And Jesus said to them, ‘Yes. Have you never read, “Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise”?’ ” (Matthew 21:16)
- “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Matthew 18:3)
Praising God is the ultimate sacrifice we can give daily to God. It gets our focus off ourselves and onto God. By praising God we show God that we are standing in faith. This delights Him. Our walk with God must start with the faith of a child!
What God wants for you as His child
- Come to our Heavenly Father as a child
- Praise Him with every fibre of your being.
- Give thanks in every circumstance.
- Praise Him as an act of faith.
- Thank God as if it is already done. (whatever you are believing for)
- Give testimonies of the miracles.
Let’s Give God the Power and the Glory
Our Father in Heaven so longs to have a relationship with us. He wants the very best for you. He also wants you to give thanks in every circumstance. Sometimes this is hard, but do this as an act of faith. Lift your hands and say this simple prayer:
Father God, I love you, Jesus I adore you. Thank you for being in my life. Thank you for being in my heart. Thank you for taking care of today. Thank you that even though I see challenges, I know for you God, these are opportunities for miracles.
Thank you for today. Thank you that you took care of me. Thank you for tomorrow. Thank you that I will see miracles because you are amazing. Thank you that you are the most awesome amazing God.
I love you. I praise you. I give you all the glory. Thank you for Jesus. Thank you for what Jesus did for me on the Cross. Amen
PRAISE HIM NOW. EXPECT A MIRACLE. LET’S PRAISE WITH PERFECTED PRAISE!
