Nothing beats a child’s faith to genuinely pursue God and walk in His ways. Truly, this is evident in a recent video of a little girl praying powerfully led by the Holy Spirit.
The 6-year-old girl is Addison Castro, whose video received almost 2 million views on Facebook. It was posted by her mother, Marcella Castro.
According to the report in CVHN95.1FM, Addison and her family were having a time of prayer and worship when she suddenly broke into a Spirit-led prayer.
At first, her mom shared the video to a few friends. Later on, those friends asked to share her daughter’s faith with others. So she changed the post to public and it quickly recieved over a million views.
“We tend to be very private. What was displayed on the video is not what always happens,” cleared up Marcella.
Addison’s Spirit-Led Intercession
In Addison’s prayer, she interceded for the persecuted Christians. Furthermore, she also prayed for those persecuting the Christians, that they would know Christ and His love for them, too. Additionally, she asked God for help that she would be able to speak about Him in her school.
Marcella and her husband, Addison’s father, Anthony, revealed that it is a necessity for them to connect with God often. That’s why prayer has always been their family’s strong foundation.
“Prayer [and] worship has been extremely important for us as a family because it’s what brings us closer together. It allows us to share our hearts together and draw into God. It has fuelled intimacy and vulnerability with each other and God,” Marcella said.
Moreover, they have never exclude their children from participating anything faith-based.
“Be it ministry, service, or prayer. We try our best to encourage family participation. A big part is just living out our faith in front of Addison and… Judah, not excluding them from anything we do, any disciplines we have regarding faith,” she explained.
Addison treats God just like a friend. She hopes He will use her to speak to other people about Him.
“I want to be able to share my faith with other people so they can know about Jesus and go to heaven,” she shared.
At a very young age, Addison values prayer more than anything.
“Praying is important because God always answers our prayers but if it’s not good for us, he doesn’t,” she said.
Indeed, she is a child filled with the Holy Spirit of God.
