Rev. Betty King once again challenges believers to confront the spirit of jealousy in our lives and shares a powerful message on how to overcome it.

The Spirit Of Jealousy

Jealousy is not healthy, and it’s a terrible thing. It tries to sabotage your joy in celebrating other people’s victory without you knowing. That’s why in this video of True Vine Stories with Betty King, she dives into practical ways of how to deal with jealousy so you can be free.

“This thing is trying to eat you up. It devalues who you are, what you have got, and is trying to take everything away from you,” she said.

“Jealousy does not fear God. Because jealousy can never recognize the hand of God,” Betty pointed out. “Even if God does something wonderful, the spirit of jealousy would rather devalue what God has done in your life than to affirm the miracle of God.”

Betty also further added how jealousy could hinder people’s growth and build their own kingdom if we’re not careful.

“It can hinder what you are doing and it brings so many setbacks. Because jealousy is very strategic,” she said. Moreover, it targets the one that carries the favor of God.

How To Deal With It

So then, Betty advised that the first step to deal with jealousy is “to be honest with yourself.” A person should be humble enough to admit that they are dealing with that spirit and surrender it to God. Give it to God before it becomes a stronghold in your life, leads you further from the truth, and becomes a deception.

“You need to acknowledge that you have that. You need to bring this to God, to the Holy Spirit and say, ‘Lord, I want to change. I want You to set me free from the spirit of jealousy,’” she said.
