Gaza terrorists on Tuesday used balloons to launch explosives into Israel. Several of the explosive charges landed in Israeli territory and detonated. No injuries or damage were caused by the explosions.
In response to the attacks, IDF aircraft on Tuesday night struck a number of terror targets in a Hamas military compound in the northern Gaza Strip.
“The IDF views with great severity any attempt to harm Israeli citizens and will continue to act vigorously against these terrorist acts,” an IDF spokesperson stated.
“The Hamas terrorist organization bears responsibility for everything that is happening in and out of the Gaza Strip,” the IDF underscored.
There were no reports of Arab casualties in the strikes. One of the targets hit was reportedly an arms storage, which was destroyed in the strike.
The IDF has carried out several against Hamas targets in the past week in response to the renewal of the arson balloon attacks launched from Gaza against Israeli civilian targets. No one was injured in these attacks, but a home was damaged by one of the explosions.
