It’s Time For Prophetic Words Over You To Be Activated!
“While he was trying to figure a way out, he had a dream. God’s angel spoke in the dream: “Joseph, son of David, don’t hesitate to get married. Mary’s pregnancy is Spirit-conceived. God’s Holy Spirit has made her pregnant. She will bring a son to birth, and when she does, you, Joseph, will name him Jesus—‘God saves’—because he will save his people from their sins.” This would bring the prophet’s embryonic sermon to full term: Watch for this—a virgin will get pregnant and bear a son; They will name him Immanuel” (Hebrew for “God is with us”). (Matthew 1:20-23 MSG)
Pregnancy & Birthing Processes
The pregnant state is a process designed to nurture and develop a fertilised egg so it can grow into a baby. At the end of the pregnancy, hormones are released that trigger the next phase known as labour. Labour is the process of the actual birthing of the baby (or babies). It is a naturally hard, laborious, painful process. The process of labour can even be a life and death experience depending where in the world an expectant mother happens to live or any underlying conditions the mother might have. Labour is divided by most practitioners of midwifery and obstetrics into 3 distinct stages. The first stage of labour involves the contractions of the muscles of the womb which prepare the birth canal to stretch, and also begins the process of moving the baby down into position. The second stage involves more painful contractions, and a lot of pushing through each contraction until the baby is actually born. Finally, the third stage is the delivery of the placenta or “after birth”. These ordered stages are necessary and any delay, mismanagement, or dysfunction usually results in an intervention from the obstetrician or midwife.
Hosting A State Of Spiritual Pregnancy
As Christians, we will be ‘impregnated’ with ‘spiritual babies’ of God (visions, dreams, missions, purposes) that require pregnancy; a time of waiting on God (allowing revelation, development and growth). Just as the abdominal cavity of a pregnant woman will miraculously expand and realign various organs so there is room to host the growing baby; similarly, we must make room for growth and expansion spiritually. We need to let go of things that are no longer needed and are taking up space in our thoughts and hearts. Remember: what was useful and relevant for last season may have little use or relevance for our next season. In fact, we may severely stunt our spiritual growth and development by holding onto those things, relationships, and traditions.
What Does It Take To Give Birth?
In the natural order of things, at the end of pregnancy, labour begins. This is exhausting, lengthy, painful, hard work! With the onset of the second stage, there is usually an overwhelming urge to PUSH! and give birth. During this time so many things can go wrong which could lead to death – mother, baby or both. Supernaturally, there is a point at which we are on the brink or tipping point of birthing something new. It is a time, where if we don’t steward it carefully, death or abortion can occur. God’s timing and order are crucial to giving birth.
Push Against The Pain And Pray Until Something Happens!
There will often be unspeakable pain as we push and give birth. However, we have, as Christians, the power of prayer at our disposal. We must keep praying until we see answers. We also have the One sent by Jesus whom we call the Holy Spirit or The Comforter. He is as gentle as a dove but packs such authority, power and wisdom. If we submit to Him even in the difficult seasons and let Him guide us, we will see new things birthed and aligned with God’s Kingdom, calling, timing and seasons.
Not By Your Own Strength
Now, I’m not saying that by our own efforts we can bring to fruition the purposes and plans of God that He has designed. “Not by might, not by power but by my Spirit thus says the Lord of Hosts.” (Zechariah 4:17) I am saying it will take sacrifice, and obedience – two words that aren’t popular in today’s vocabulary even with Christians. It will take determination and discernment often in the face of distraction, opposition, intimidation, misunderstanding, sickness, isolation, pain, and abuse under the leadership of the Spirit.
It Is Time For Heavy Chains of Delay And Distraction To Be Broken
Because some of us have been delayed in the birthing process for a very long time, we work from mindsets that need to be set free. It is time to think about ourselves the way our Heavenly Father thinks about us. Please, do not count yourself out! Whether we are “background” people or we are serving from the front, we all have our individual assignments and destiny that God has created for us. The fact that our thought patterns are chained imprisons us. Some of us might as well be under heavy guard like Peter; restricted by heavy chains. For us those chains come as baggage, history, and tradition.
It Is Time To Give Birth In 2019
Maybe you’ve been in a place of delay, distraction, or even confusion. Maybe you have unrealised visions, dreams, missions, and purposes that have been placed inside of you. You may believe that it’s too late or the wrong time for the things God has been developing inside of you. Be encouraged and prepare for this season of new birth. I sense in my spirit that 2019 will be an opportune year for God’s people to PUSH and hear just like Mary did, “You are about to give birth through the Spirit to new life of God’s Kingdom.”
It’s Time To Get Appropriately Dressed For The Birth
The light of God’s glory is shining on our situations! We are about to experience sudden breakthroughs, signs, and wonders. Hearing and obeying God are keys to unlocking our prison doors.
“Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter. The angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said, “Quick! Get up!” And the chains fell off his wrists. Then the angel told him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” And he did. “Now put on your coat and follow me,” the angel ordered.” (Acts 12:7-8)
It is now time to get up quickly, and get appropriately dressed. It’s time to be positioned for new birth under the leading of the Spirit of God into this new season ahead.
