You will see Jesus in the Super Bowl through ads that have been planned to air for 90 seconds. The said event happens on February 12.
And the ads cost millions of dollars.
He Gets Us
He Gets Us campaign has been gaining a lot of attention for its deliberate ads about Jesus at the Super Bowl. The campaign aims to “reintroduce people to the Jesus of the Bible and his confounding love and forgiveness.”

Even though it can be a challenge to find a common ground these days– especially on politics, religion, and the pandemic– but hundreds of million Americans will be watching the Super Bowl. And He Gets Us surely uses it as an advantage.
But many are still skeptical.
In a recent interview with FOX 17 News, Jason Vanderground said, “When people hear, “Oh, you’re spending $100 million” they’re like, that’s a lot of money. And I think people are rightly skeptical.”
He added, “They’ve seen marketing be used in ways that manipulated and took advantage of people. We understand that we actually think that’s healthy to be skeptical about it. But we look at Jesus and just say he was like the perfect communicator. And he used the tools and the means that he had available to him to get his message out. And that’s all we’re doing here.”
The ads will air for 90 seconds during the Super Bowl.

Jesus in the Super Bowl
Despite the skeptics, the team has cleared that this campaign has a non-political agenda, and it will focus on its slogan, “JESUS IN THE SUPER BOWL.”
“We’re also not affiliated with any particular church or denomination. We simply want everyone to understand the authentic Jesus as he’s depicted in the Bible — the Jesus of radical forgiveness, compassion, and love,” they wrote on the website.
This campaign has been made possible by donors and partners from different denominations wanting to see Jesus in the Super Bowl with millions of Americans watching. The campaign has reached more than 100 million people to date.
The skeptics can question all they want, but it’s still worth it. Because, like the Bible says:
“In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:10, NASB).
