The new movie “Jesus Revolution” receives an A+ CinemaScore rating during its opening night and creates history.

On February 24 filmmaker Jon Erwin’s new movie “Jesus Revolution” received an A+ CinemaScore rating. It is a rare achievement in Hollywood and it indicates how audiences love the film. CinemaScore rating ranges from F to A+, with A+ being the highest. It is the measurement of fans’ reactions to major feature film releases on opening night.
The achievement also made history as it made Jon the first filmmaker to achieve four A+ CinemaScore ratings. Jon is deeply honored and grateful for the achievement. It has always been his passion to serve the audience with powerful messages conveyed through cinematic films.
“Everything we do — it’s not about us; it’s about the people in the seats and the experience they’re having with the film,” Jon said. “And I think, so many artists, a lot of times are like, ‘The audience should be there for me … for my creative genius.’ I don’t think that’s true at all. I think we should be there for the audience.”

A+ CinemaScore Rating
Aside from the excitement of receiving his fourth A+ CinemaScore rating, he’s more excited to see lives touched by his film.
“I’m proud of what we made,” he said. “God is just doing something beyond the experience of the movie.”
He also gave credit to his team who worked to make “Jesus Revolution” possible. Jon also praised his co-director, Brent McCorkle, and many others for doing an excellent job in bringing the film to the big screen. Since the release of the movie, they have been hearing many testimonies of people coming to Christ because of the movie.
“We felt it on set when we were doing the baptisms,” he said. “I’ve never felt that kind of spiritual power on a day of filming ever in my life, and I think it bleeds through the screen. I think you feel it in the movie.”
Jon strongly believes that God is at work through “Jesus Revolution.”
