A woman who had been homeless for two years and lost her job due to COVID-19 went viral when she was caught on camera dancing in a parking lot after acing her job interview. And she says, “dance anytime you got a blessing.”
After A Job Interview
On September 29, Kayallah Jones had a job interview in a restaurant called The Spot in Decatur, Georgia. She had been homeless for two years and needless to say, that job interview meant a lot to her. So, when she aced it and walked out realizing she did a great job, she can’t help but express her happiness. The young lady danced herself out of overjoying in the parking lot of the restaurant!
Unknown to Kayallah, she was being recorded on the surveillance camera installed just outside the parking lot. Right then, Manager Dakara Spence knew she had to hire the young lady.
In an interview with WGCL-TV, Kayallah said, “When I got outside I didn’t know that the cameras caught me.”
The manager also admitted that when she met her, she knew she was a contender. She said, “She had great energy I felt it as soon as she walked in she seemed really positive.”
“I called her phone and I said I’m going to hire you and I’ve seen your happy dance so you can continue dancing,” the manager added. “She was just screaming through the phone and it was just a beautiful moment for me.”
Dakara took to social media Kayallah’s happy dance that quickly went viral. It brightened the day of many people who have watched her genuine joy while dancing.
Moreover, in a follow-up interview, Kayallah did an instructional video of her happy dance. Then when asked when should people use the dance, she said, “Anytime they’re happy. Anytime you got a blessing, a great opportunity. And you have something that you’ve been working so hard for years, months, praying for it. Just dance!”
“Ms. Dakara didn’t know but I was going through so much and at that point when she gave me this chance and this opportunity,” Kayallah explained.
“I was elated, excited and so overwhelmed to the point where no one understood how happy and accomplished I felt at that moment.”
Congratulations on your new job, young lady! We celebrate with you and may the Lord continue to bless you!
