Just recently, our brothers and sisters in Christ brought God’s holy presence into the White House during a Faith Briefing meeting.
Based on Dominic Shahbon’s post, the gathering was initiated by Pastor Paula White, the chair of President Trump’s Faith Advisory Board and a megachurch leader from Florida.
The purpose of the Faith Briefing was to give an update on the faith-based initiatives that have been introduced by the Trump Administration. With some of the nation’s top Christian Music artists in attendance, like Kari Jobe, Tauren Wells, Jenn Johnson, Danny Gokey, the spirit of worship was palpable. In an unprecedented moment, song and prayer broke out right there in the White House.

Wow. What a day. Had the honor to go the White House for a #FaithBriefing with key administration officials and faith leaders. Specifically, to hear about faith initiatives that are happening. Great things are taking place whether the media tells us or not! Let’s just say that I’m leaving Washington, D.C. stirred, hopeful, convicted and informed with TRUTH. • God is surely moving in this nation and through His Church. Let’s be a people that are not letting a day go by without praying for our President and this incredible administration. Thank you @paulamichellewhite for all you do and for helping making this happen. It’s truly powerful to watch and I’m moved beyond words.
One can’t help but wonder what exactly God is stirring up in the White House and in the hearts of government officials. What we do know for certain is that many believers are praying for revival in the USA and what better place to start than in the home of the nation’s leader. We’re praying that God would raise up Kingdom people that would be positioned strategically in the seven mountains of culture, including, and very importantly, Government.
Hope for revival can dwindle when we see so much negative news, but this post from Kari Jobe restores our hope!
“Yesterday I had the honor of going to the White House for a #FaithBriefing with a few other artists and worship leaders. As I stepped foot into the White House I had to just take a moment and take it all in. I was thinking through how many great men and women have served and led in that house, have come to visit that house, have changed history inside that house. The thing that moved me the most though was the peace I felt. It wasn’t chaotic, it wasn’t heavy..it was peaceful. It’s a home. I thought that was special.
“In the faith briefing we heard from a few Government leaders about incredible things that are going on behind the scenes that media and news never talk about. Projects to rescue victims of Human Trafficking, rehabilitate former inmates, take care of foster children, help neighborhoods and communities that are falling apart, help rebuild cities after tragedy… just to name a few.
“I sat there with tears in my eyes because these beautiful people get up daily and go to work in a governmental facility and think about people; you and me. They pray and seek God for wisdom for people. It all seemed beyond politics – it was Kingdom. I realized there are some Kingdom-minded people who work in the White House and that was extremely encouraging. I don’t engage in political jargon & conversations- but I do engage when the Holy Spirit puts a burden to pray or do whatever He has spoken and obey Him. I was moved and reminded to pray every day for our leaders and government. We won’t always see everything the same, or even agree with everything people say or do… but we are all alive on the earth for such a time as this and what if God is calling new Esthers to rise up? I’m inspired to stay leaning into the Holy Spirit for our nation and be brave to do whatever He asks, cause it could change History. Stewardship of a calling is important and this was one of those important days for me.”
When we think of our politicians and leaders and judge them as unworthy to lead our country, we are projecting our fears and personal agendas onto them. They are the people that God has chosen to lead and serve us. “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” (Romans 13:1) We may disagree on positions and platforms, but it doesn’t change the fact that it was God who positioned them to be there.
“For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations.” (Psalm 22:28)
It is refreshing to know that God is indeed raising up people to who will proclaim His name from the steps of the White House. May the Lord continue to pour our His Revival Spirit on our nation.
Let’s prophesy this over the White House today:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
