Singer, songwriter, and actress Kelly Rowland condemns the cancel culture, highlighting that everyone should stop trying to be God.
With all the issues arising in society today, it seems that canceling others has become a normal thing. Disputes, protests, and backlashing has become more of a trend rather than being kind. That is why Grammy Award-winning singer Kelly Rowland can no longer keep silent.
Slamming The Cancel Culture
In a recent Instagram post by the former Destiny’s Child singer, she wrote: “So what light are you bringing into the world?”
Kelly shared a screenshot expressing her thoughts about the cancel culture today. She stated, “In this ‘cancel culture’ we live in, I am SO grateful God NEVER canceled me, and I’m sure he could’ve many-a-times!”
Then the singer added a piece of advice saying, “Let us TRY to remember NOT to judge others.”
“We HONESTLY don’t have the space nor authority too! Let us remember to lead with love & kindness, the world has enough negativity, for you to pour more into it!” she continued.
Kelly then concluded her post with the hashtag “STOPTRYINTOBEGOD.” She encouraged everyone to stop passing judgment and stop tolerating the culture that could tear down others.

From Fame To Christ
During Hillsong channel’s new TV show “Now With Natalie,” Kelly shared her testimony in finding Christ. Apparently, the singer lived a life placing her worth in fame. She admitted that because of that, “she experienced darkness.”
“I was constantly wondering why am I here. I would always ask God: ‘Why do I have to go through this part and why is it so painful? Why is it so stressful and why can’t I sleep at night? And why is there a lack of peace, and why is there one thing coming after another?’” she recounted.
She further continued, “I was in a really dark spot. I didn’t like the place where I was. … It just felt like for a second I was going to drown.”
Then Kelly explained how her Christian faith played a “huge role” in that dark season of her life.
Today, she now knows well that life is much more than just “accolades, awards, and the devoted attention of fans.” And she knows that her worth will always be found in Christ alone.
