Singing ‘The Blessing’ Amid Lockdown
A song inspired straight from the Scripture, “The Blessing” has become the newest worship song sensation earlier this year. Hence, it has become the perfect song fit for what is going on with the world today as well. Also, the Christian, faith-based ministry wanted to declare these powerful words over friends, family, cities and our world amid the pandemic.
It is written in Numbers 6:24-26, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; The Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.”
The first lines of the worship song starts with this powerful lyric. It then continues with another powerful declaration of blessing. These words are straight from the what was written in the Word of God.
“May His favor be upon you and a thousand generations. And your family and your children, and their children, and their children.
May His presence go before you and behind you, and beside you. All around you, and within you He is with you, He is with you.
In the morning, in the evening. In your coming, and your going. In your weeping, and rejoicing. He is for you, He is for you.”
This rendition from children has now more than 200,000 views. Surely, the video has inspired a lot people in the middle of this pandemic.
Fear has no place in the heart of those who put their trust in God. In season and out of season, we continue to worship the One who is so worthy!
